Minutes of the Regular Meeting of
The Town of Lakewood Plan Commission
Lakewood Town Hall
March 11, 2013 6:00 PM
Present: Greg Weyers, Adriane Bartels, Lee Spletter, Josh Riebe, Scott VanLaanen, and Loren Nelson.
Absent: Kevin Barthel
Visitors: Ginger LaFond, Jerry LaFond, Zak Skenandore. (Cub Scouts attending to observe Town Government meetings.
1. Call to Order: Chairman Weyers called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
2. Approval of Agenda: A motion was made by Bartels and seconded by Riebe to approve the agenda. All ayes, motion carried.
3. Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Bartels and seconded by VanLaanen to approve the Minutes of the February 11, 2013 meeting. All ayes, motion carried.
4. Rezone, Conditional Use and CSM/Plat Proposals: None.
5. New Business: 5A. Update on this past 6 Towns Meeting: They will be requesting that the County contacts the Town before the County grants variances in a Township. The next 6 Towns Meeting will be May 15, 2013 @ 6:30 P.M. in the Doty Townhall.
5B. The terms of Greg Weyers, Scott VanLaanen and Kevin Barthel are up in April 2013. A motion was made by Nelson and seconded by Bartels to recommend that the Town re-appoint Greg Weyers, Scott VanLaanen and Kevin Barthel to another three year term on the Plan Commission. All ayes, motion Carried.
A motion was made by Bartels and seconded by Riebe to present this to the Town Board @ tonight�s meeting for decision at next Town Board Meeting. All ayes motion carried. (Note: this is due to the fact that it was not on the Town Board�s agenda for tonight�s meeting).
6. Old Business: None.
7. Other Business: None.
8. Public Comment: Landowner Heiptas on Waubee Lake is requesting to do shore land restoration at the boat landing. (Mary�s Park) This is mentioned here to alert the Plan Commission to this action. This will be noted on next month�s Plan Commission agenda under Old Business for continuing updates.
9. Next Meeting: Set for April 15, 2013 @ 6:00 PM. at the Town Administrative Offices. Note: This is due to the change of the Town Board Meeting to April 16, 2013 and the absence of members for the week previous. The annual Town Meeting will follow the Town Board Meeting.
10. Adjourn: There being no further business, it was moved by Bartels and seconded by VanLaanen to adjourn. All ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:02 PM.
