Regular Meeting of the Land Use & Zoning Advisory Committee for the
Town of Lakewood

October 14, 2002
6:00 p.m.

In attendance: Gigi Bartels, Raoul Schottky, Lee Spletter, Ted Schuurmans, Greg Weyers and Scott Vanlannen.

Chairperson Gigi Bartels called the meeting to order at 6:01 pm.

Lee Spletter moved to approve the agenda. Motion seconded by Ted Schuurmans. Motion passed.

Meeting minutes for the September meeting were unavailable.

New business:

� Ted presented two proposals for Hwy 32 reconstruction though the Town of Lakewood. Issues addressed include restrictions on parking, widening intersections, curbs and sidewalks, and crosswalks. The committee members suggested some revisions. A meeting will be held on November 12, 2002 to present these proposals to the public.

� Casey Swanson presented a retracement of lots 5,6,19 and 20 of Block 11, Wallace Second addition to Waubee Lake for Mr. Richard Sadowski. Scott moved to accept the retracement subject to Oconto County definition of a retracement requirements for dedication of right away. The committee is unsure if retracements have the same right away requirements as Certified Surveys. Ted will discuss this with Bill Bartz. Raoul seconded the motion. Motion passed.

� A retracement of Lots 13 and 14 of Oconto Resort Association Plat No.1 of Wheeler Lake was presented on behalf of Clyde R. Falkender. Ted moved to accept the retracement subject to the county definition of right away for retracement CSM. Raoul seconded the motion. Motion passed

� A Certified Survey Map for four 2.05 acre lots along Lake John Road was presented on behalf of Maralyn Fabera. Ted moved to accept the CSM, seconded by Raoul. Motion passed.



Old business:

� The property that the waste water treatment plant is on is still zoned Agricultural. Ted talked to Bill Barz and it was determined that this property should be zoned Community Service. Greg will write a letter to the Town Board suggesting that the Sanitary District petition to have the property rezoned.

� Ted also discussed the appropriate zoning for the parcel being purchase from Cliff Marshal by the snowmobile club with Bill Bartz. A clubhouse and garage will be constructed on the site. The land is currently zoned Agricultural. Bill Bartz suggested the land be rezoned to Park and Recreation.

Scott made a motion to adjourn. Ted seconded the motion. Motion passed.
