Minutes of the Regular Meeting of
The Town of Lakewood Plan Commission
Lakewood Town Hall
August 9, 2010 6:00 p.m.
Present: Adriane Bartels, Lee Spletter, Scott VanLaanen, Ted Schuurmans, Loren Nelson
Absent: Greg Weyers
Visitors: Raoul Schottky, Diane McNeill, Neah R. Bhek(See attendance sheet, spelling?)
Call to Order: Vice Chairman Schuurmans called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Approval of Agenda: A motion was made by Bartels and seconded by VanLaanen to approve the agenda with the addition of 5A Lakewood Area Chamber of Commerce Discussion under new business, all ayes motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: Motion was made by Bartels and seconded by VanLaanen, to approve the Minutes of the July 12, 2010 meeting, all ayes motion carried..
Rezone, Conditional Use and CSM/Plat Proposals: Discussion of Town of Lakewood Ordinance No. 1-2006 as pertaining to the area where Paul Geroux, representing Secluded Land Co. LLC presented a map of proposed lots along the West side of Thompson Lake. No action was taken by the Plan Commission as the proposed lots did not conform to the 1-2006 ordinance.
New Business: 5A. Discussed the possibility of the Lakewood Area Chamber of Commerce dissolving. No action was taken by the Plan Commission.
Old Business: 6A. Outdoor Wood Burner information update. Motion was made by VanLaanen and seconded by Bartels to remove this item and wait to see the DNR and/or County come up with something later, all ayes, motion carried..
6B. Lakewood Web Page, no information, leave as is..
6C. The Plan Commission received two reference maps from Martensen & Eisele. (The Town also received copies of the maps.) These are for reference regarding the water study. The Plan Commission copies will be in the file cabinet in the Plan Commission office after the Sept. meeting. No action was taken.
7. Other Business: None.
8. Public Comment: A thank you was given by a citizen regarding Giese Lane, North Road, Etc. and the extra effort shown by the Town workers with this project.
Adjourn: There being no further business, it was moved by Bartels and seconded by VanLaanen to adjourn. All ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 pm.
Next meeting will be September 13, 2010 at 6:00 pm in the Town Administrative Offices.
