Minutes of the Regular Meeting of The Town of Lakewood Plan Commission Town of Lakewood May 9, 2005
In attendance: Adriane Bartels, Ted Schuurmans, Greg Weyers, Raoul Schottky, and Lee Spletter. Excused: - Scott VanLaanen Guests: Joan & Ken White, Tony Tebo, Russ Kohl, Craig Ward, Mike Paul, Lovey Barber, Casey Swanson and others not signed in.
1. Call to Order: Chairperson Adriane Bartels called the meeting order at 6:00 pm
2. Approval of Agenda: . Motion to approve the agenda as corrected by Weyers, seconded by Schuurmans, the addition of Craig Ward for a Rezone, motion passed.
3. Approve Minutes of Prior Meeting: Motion to accept the minutes of the April meeting by Schottky, seconded by Schuurmans, motion passed. 4. Rezone, Conditional Use & CSM/Plat Proposals:
1. Tony Tebo for Sam Gretzon property on Chain Lake, (W � of NW �, S 31, T 33N, R 16/E) for a CSM of division into 2 Lots. Motion by Schuurmans, second by Weyers to recommend to the Town Board to approve the CSM, motion carried.
2. Craig Ward, regarding Austin Road property by Wheeler Lake, (NE � of SW �, S27, R33, T16E, lots 25 to 29, 1 to 5 and 13 & 14) some of these lots are landlocked because of Austin Road not being constructed. Would like to have permission from the Town to use Austin Road as a driveway to the back lots as the Town does not construct roads in subdivision. No action taken by the Committee, but was recommended that the Town OK the using of Austin Road as a driveway.
3. Paul/Barber regarding Pine Haven RV Park on Hwy F (NE � of NW �, S 26, T 33, R16E and SE � of SW � S23, T 33, R 16E). Trailer that is there now will stay in the spot that it is in, and be leased out. Pat Virtues at Oconto recommended that it could be rezoned as a Park and a Conditional Use be issued for the RV Park. There was much discussion on the rezoning and about the Conditional Use Permit by member of the Committee, the Owners, and the public attending the meeting. The committee recommended that the town find out the difference of the issuing of a Conditional Use Permit for a RV Park under property zoned either Forestry or Parks. To be discussed at next months meeting.
4. Craig Ward would like to purchase the Peot property on Long Street in the town of Lakewood for development of gift shops (possibly several small building in a row for rental use). The property would have to be rezone to Commercial, which would be acceptable in the Comprehensive Plan as there is already commercial property in this area. Motion to recommend to the Town Board to approve of a rezone of this property from residential (R1) to Commercial was made by Weyers and second by Schottky and motion was carried. Bartels has interest in the property and abstained from the vote.
5. All New Business Authorized by Law: a. Schuurmans talked with the local septic pumper and was wondering if the pumping company could possibly get permission for him to dump the waste from only the Lakewood residents into the Lakewood Sanitary District System in the winter months when he now has to store the waste until the ground is not frozen. A motion to have the Town Board try and get permission to do this dumping in the winter months for a fee into the Lakewood system was made by Schuurmans, and second by Schottky and was carried.
6. All Old Business Authorized by Law: a. No other business.
7. Adjourn: Schottky made a motion to adjourn the meeting, second by Schuurmans, motion carried and adjourned at 7:23 pm.
